Yak Attack in Waterhouse

Sorry, this item has sold.

Waterhouse, one of my very favorite artists.

This color was inspired by John William Waterhouse's painting "Boreas", named after the Greek god of the north wind. It depicts a young woman in indigo with a sheer lavender veil being blown in an arc away from her body.

So, here is my interpretation: sheer washes of lilac and lavender washed with a final translucent layer of indigo. The sheer layers of color play with the light to shift and shimmer as the light shifts and the finished object moves.

Yak Attack is a fingering-weight yarn, 70/20/10% Superwash Merino/Yak/Nylon blend, and has 437 yds per 100g skein.
